The second of two open practices this week begins at 11:45 AM.

The Green Bay Packers got a huge boost to the team’s and fans’ morale on Sunday. Practicing for the first time in public since Thursday’s preseason-opening win over the Tennessee Titans, the Packers got two big names back from injury: left tackle David Bakhtiari and rookie cornerback Jaire Alexander.

Bakhtiari practiced for the first time since spraining his ankle at Family Night, while Alexander was also off all last week while dealing with a groin injury.

Following their absences, Bakhtiari will likely take some time to get back into the starting lineup on a full-time basis; don’t be surprised if he takes this week’s preseason game off and waits until the third game in Oakland next Friday. Alexander, however, should play on Thursday against Pittsburgh barring any setbacks, as the team looks to get the rookie on the field in a number of different situations.

Keep an eye on these players today as we follow along with practice and discuss in the comments below.
