The Green Bay Packers are practicing in front of the public again on Monday, taking the field as they prepare for Friday's preseason game against the Oakland Raiders.
The big story this weekend is the return of outside linebacker Nick Perry, who was cleared to practice and removed from the PUP list on Sunday in time for a closed practice. Today will be his first practice in front of fans since last year's training camp, as he missed the entire offseason program following ankle surgery.
This should be great news for a Packers defense that has struggled to find a second consistent backup at the position this summer. Reggie Gilbert looks like a solid rotational player through two preseason games, but the team's other backups have yet to display consistency or significant success through most of camp.
Meanwhile, Packers fans will hope to see a few players who suffered injuries last Thursday against the Steelers back on the field. That group includes starting running back Jamaal Williams and right guard Justin McCray, as well as wide receiver Jake Kumerow, who appears to be leading the battle for a roster spot and the WR4 job.
Follow along with practice and discuss in the comments below.
