The Cleveland Browns faced a tough task in the first two weeks of the 2018 season after going 0-16 last year. They opened up against the hated Pittsburgh Steelers before a road game at the New Orleans Saints, who were one play away from the NFC Championship a year ago.
In those two games, the Browns have been outscored by just three points, tying Pittsburgh and being right in the game against the Saints only to miss a tying field goal attempt. So far, Cleveland has had a productive running game and a defense that ranks among the NFL’s best in points and yards per drive allowed, and the latter was particularly impressive in holding the Saints under 300 yards of offense a week ago.
This week, they face the New York Jets and rookie quarterback Sam Darnold, who followed up his stellar debut with a less impressive showing at home against the Dolphins in week two. However, the Browns are actually favored to win this game, and if they do it will be their first victory since December of 2016 — and it would be Hue Jackson’s second win as head coach in his 35th game at the helm.
Can Cleveland pull it off? Tune in tonight to find out.
