The Green Bay Packers are facing their first injury on the offensive line of the 2018 regular season. Shortly before halftime of the team’s week three game at Washington, right tackle Bryan Bulaga left the game with a back injury. The team announced that he is questionable to return.
Jason Spriggs has taken the field in Bulaga’s absence, lining up for a few plays at the end of the first half and again to start the third quarter. He had appeared to be more comfortable at left tackle in the preseason than on the right side, but is clearly the Packers’ top option at both tackle positions at the current time.
Bulaga had played every snap in the first two games, recovering ahead of schedule from a torn ACL that he suffered last November. He had struggled a bit in week one against Bears edge rusher Khalil Mack, but had largely played well since then.
UPDATE: Bulaga has been ruled out for the remainder of the game.
Stay tuned for more updates on Bulaga’s status.
