The last time the Indianapolis Colts and Kansas City Chiefs met in the postseason, it was a memorable contest. Of course, those are memories that most Chiefs fans would prefer to forget.

In a matchup of 11-5 teams at Lucas Oil Stadium, the Chiefs broke out to a huge early lead. With Knile Davis — later a Green Bay Packer for a brief period — scoring a touchdown on either side of the halftime break, the Chiefs led 38-10 early in the third quarter. The colts stormed back, however, with touchdowns on five of their next six series, including four drives of 80 yards or more. Bizarrely, the Chiefs won the turnover battle 4-1 in that game, but their offense sputtered down the stretch and their defense fell apart.

Today, we get the first postseason rematch of that game. The Colts still have a few of their key offensive players, most notably quarterback Andrew Luck and wideout T.Y. Hilton, but the Chiefs’ personnel is entirely different. It should be a fun way to kick off the divisional round, and expect some offensive fireworks at Arrowhead this afternoon.

Today’s late game pits a dominant Rams team against the resurgent Dallas Cowboys, who have lost just once in their last nine games. Dallas’ offense drastically improved after the team acquired Amari Cooper, and he ended up leading the team in receiving yards and touchdowns despite playing just nine regular-season games. A revamped Cowboys defense will look to give the Rams’ high-flying offense fits, as LA has taken a bit of a step back since their bye in week 12.

Tune in for today’s games and join us as we discuss throughout the afternoon and evening.
