Some of the best players in college football take the field for one last time today before they officially shift their focus entirely to preparations for the 2019 NFL Draft. Two college all-star games are on the docket on this fine Saturday, with the East-West Shrine Game and NFLPA Collegiate Bowl kicking off this afternoon.

After the Senior Bowl, which takes place next week, these two games are the next-best of these games, and they afford their participants the opportunity to put in a week’s worth of practice and one last game on film for NFL scouts. Often, the practices are the primary focus for those scouts, but a game is a game nonetheless.

A handful of former Wisconsin Badgers are suiting up for each game. In the Shrine Game, offensive linemen Michael Dieter and Beau Benzschawel join fullback Alec Ingold on the North team. Then, kicker Rafael Gaglianone and running back Taiwan Deal suit up for the American Team in the Collegiate Bowl.

Interestingly, since the Collegiate Bowl began in 2012, the National Team has won every game. Tune in this afternoon to see if that trend continues.
