There is a good chance that the Green Bay Packers’ starting lineup on Sunday will look a lot different than it did last Thursday.
Of the 22 players who were on the field for the first offensive and defensive snaps of the team’s week four loss to the Philadelphia Eagles, five were injured during the game and did not participate in the team’s first practice of week five on Monday. Two are arguably not true “starters,” as Jamaal Williams is the team’s second-string running back behind Aaron Jones and Will Redmond is essentially a nickel linebacker. However, the impact on the roster will be significant if these players are unable to suit up on Sunday in Dallas.
Williams in particular appears to have avoided serious injury. Granted, a concussion is hardly a minor issue, but fans and the team alike feared much worse after he was taken off the field on a stretcher.
In fact, the longest-term injury may end up being to wideout Davante Adams, whose turf toe issue is likely to keep him out in week five and beyond. How the will Packers deal with that injury is to be determined, but the team’s young receiving corps will need to step up in his absence. The same goes for Dexter Williams, who will be thrust into his first NFL action should Jamaal Williams be unable to play.
Here’s the news from around Green Bay on this Tuesday morning.
Jamaal Williams back with his Packers teammates | Packers.com
Williams did not speak to the media because he is in the concussion protocol, but he appears to have no structural damage. Expect him to return to the field once he passes the protocol.
Packers: Davante Adams' turf toe unlikely to heal quickly | Packersnews.com
Meanwhile, Adams will likely miss Sunday's game in Dallas (and perhaps more time), setting up bigger opportunities for the likes of Jake Kumerow and Geronimo Allison. How long will the team wait to get Adams back on the field? That could depend on how the team functions without him.

In addition to Adams and Williams, the Packers missed four more players at Monday's practice due to injuries suffered against the Eagles. That group consists of Kevin King, Bryan Bulaga, Tony Brown, and Will Redmond.

Trubisky's injury should not keep him out for a terribly long time, probably a few weeks.

Look, going to a Dolphins game is bad enough without being scammed by your beer vendor. That's just adding insult to injury.
