NFL Week 6 Schedule: Wake up with Sunday morning NFC South football from London

Good news, NFL fans — today will feature more than 12 straight hours of football. Yes, this week features an early morning kickoff from London, the second straight week with a game taking place across the pond.

Last week, the Oakland Raiders did much of the NFC North a solid, upsetting the Chicago Bears 24-21 in London. This week, the contest pits NFC South rivals against one another as the 3-2 Panthers and 2-3 Buccaneers square off. Both teams have shown reasons for optimism, and this could end up being an unusually good matchup.

Later in the day, there should be some other games with significant divisional or playoff implications. The Texans-Chiefs game is arguably the best matchup in the early afternoon schedule. Then in the afternoon, 49ers-Rams pits former coworkers against one another. Kyle Shanahan has his 49ers off to a surprising 4-0 start, but they will face Sean McVay’s 3-2 Rams in Los Angeles.

Then in the nightcap, the Steelers and Chargers meet in what should have been a great matchup before the season, but that has lost some of its luster due to early returns this season. The two teams are a combined 3-7 on the year, but they still got to keep the Sunday Night Football timeslot this week.
