On Sunday, the Green Bay Packers face the Oakland Raiders for the first time of the second Jon Gruden era. Levi Damien of Silver and Black Pride kindly volunteered to answer our questions about the Raiders and provide some insight into their strengths and weaknesses.
APC: If you could pick one Packers player to add to the Raiders’ roster, who would it be and why?
Well, duh. Rodgers. But since that’s too easy, let’s go with Davante Adams. As noted, the Raiders receiving corps is pretty pathetic at the moment. They could sure use a 6-1, 215-pound receiver who caught 111 passes for 1386 yards and 13 touchdowns last season. Not only that, but one who Derek Carr knows possibly better than any receiver in the league as Adams caught 233 passes for over 3000 yards over two seasons at Fresno State as Carr’s top receiver. What a reunion that would be. Though it would appear Adams won’t be available to either QB on Sunday as he deals with his turf toe injury.
We’d like to thank Levi. Be sure to check out the rest of our Q&A session with Silver and Black Pride over the course of the week as well as our Q&A session over there. As always, keep your internet machines tuned to Acme Packing Company this Sunday for our comprehensive game-day coverage of Raiders versus Packers.
