Green Bay Packers running back Aaron Jones had a rough game on Monday night. Against the Detroit Lions, Jones fumbled the football and dropped a wide-open touchdown pass from Aaron Rodgers.
But on Sunday against the Oakland Raiders, he’s getting a bit of redemption.
On the Packers’ opening drive, the third-year pro made a huge play, hauling in the first touchdown of the game on a picture-perfect throw-and-catch from Rodgers. Jones started the drive out on the ground, carrying the football twice for two and 15 yards. But it was this 21-yard reception that will be playing on highlight reels all across the NFL this week:

Jones leaks out of the backfield, cutting up the field. Rodgers eyeballs him and throws a perfect pass to his inside shoulder and Jones, who was initially looking for the football on his outside shoulder, makes a magnificent adjustment to the football in flight. Jones hauls it in for the score, his first receiving touchdown and ninth overall on the season.
The Packers gave up a field goal to the Raiders on Oakland’s first drive, so the touchdown gave the Packers a 7-3 lead. Stay tuned for more highlights and updates here at APC throughout the game.
