For the past decade, the Wisconsin Badgers have had a monkey on their backs in the form of the Ohio State Buckeyes. Since knocking off the top-ranked Buckeyes at Camp Randall in 2010, the Badgers have lost six straight to this Big Ten rival — two games each at home, in Columbus, and in Indianapolis for the Big Ten Championship Game.
However, these games have almost always been close. Aside from the 2014 Big Ten Championship (the records of which have, unfortunately, been lost to history and cannot be discussed), the other five games have all been decided by seven points or less. In fact, both games at Camp Randall — in 2012 and 2016 — went to overtime. Will this Saturday’s game, the first noon (Eastern) kickoff between the two teams since 2007, finally be the day that the Badgers pull off a win?
FOX picked up that game for their Big Nude Saturday coverage, making it the premier matchup in the early slate. Following that game will be an even better matchup based on the rankings, as #9 Auburn travels to the Bayou to play #2 LSU for a game that will determine who will be Alabama’s biggest competition in the SEC West. Then it’s Michigan-Notre Dame in the evening for fans of storied programs that are generally disliked outside of their own fan bases.
Tune in, discuss, and enjoy the games!
