The first quarter belonged to the Green Bay Packers, but the second was all Kansas City Chiefs. But Kansas City was able to be a little better in their positive quarter than the Packers were, and as a result they lead at halftime of Sunday Night Football by a score of 17-14.
Early on, Aaron Rodgers was money. He completed six of his first seven passes for 75 yards and a touchdown as Matt LaFleur’s team jumped out to a 14-0 lead. Aaron Jones scored on a reception on the first drive before setting up the second score with a 50-yard catch up the left sideline as the Packers jumped out by two touchdowns.
However, Kansas City fought back in the second quarter, scoring 17 unanswered points to take a lead into the halftime break. Touchdowns from Travis Kelce and Mecole Hardman, plus a Harrison Butker field goal did the damage.
After his hot start, Rodgers cooled off significantly. He finished the first half 13 of 20 for 163 yards and a score. Jones led the way with four catches for 73 yards and that touchdown. but he left the game midway through the second quarter with a shoulder injury and is questionable to return.
Keep it here at APC for the second half.
