Week 11 in the NFL got off to quite a start on Thursday Night Football. As the Cleveland Browns were wrapping up their 21-7 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers, Myles Garrett and Mason Rudolph got into a confrontation that culminated in Garrett swinging Rudolph’s removed helmet at the Steelers quarterback’s head. The NFL has suspended Garrett for at least the rest of the 2019 season, while other players involved in the scrum were suspended as well.
Hopefully the remainder of this week and this season will be less eventful in this area and football fans can focus on football. That would be nice, since there are a few very good matchups on today.
The best game on paper among the early games will pit two of the league’s top young quarterbacks against one another. Lamar Jackson and Deshaun Watson face off for the first time as the Baltimore Ravens host the Houston Texans. Then in the afternoon fans get a rematch of Super Bowl LII, as the Philadelphia Eagles host the New England Patriots.
