Thursday Night Football, Week 10: Chargers head to Oakland after big win over Packers

The Kansas City Chiefs currently sit at 6-3 and atop the AFC West division, but charging up behind them are a pair of teams that face off this evening on Thursday Night Football.

The Oakland Raiders enter today’s game at .500, with all of their losses coming to teams that currently hold records of 6-3 or better. Meanwhile, the Los Angeles Chargers enter fresh off a big home win over the Green Bay Packers, only their second game all year separated by more than seven points.

The Chargers’ defense is coming into its own, while Oakland’s offense has been improving in recent weeks behind Derek Carr and rookie Josh Jacobs. If either team has designs on catching the Chiefs for the division lead, it will need to start with a win tonight — especially as Patrick Mahomes eyes a return to the field soon.
