On Sunday, the Green Bay Packers return to Lambeau Field to take on the Carolina Panthers. Walker Clement of Cat Scratch Reader kindly volunteered to answer our questions about the Panthers and provide some insight into their strengths and weaknesses.
APC: If you could take one player off the Packers’ roster besides Aaron Rodgers and place him on the Panthers, who would have the biggest impact?
Who is Rodgers back up? I kid, sort of, but the Panthers biggest weakness right now is at quarterback and left tackle. That makes the answer probably David Bakhtiari, Both of the Panthers issues are more injury related than talent related. Allen has been playing better for a back up seeing extended time than we could have hoped.
Similarly, Dennis Daley is a rookie sixth round pick who has performed quite admirably in his multiple starts at left tackle. He is starting there over Daryl Williams, who lost the requisite agility to play tackle in his return from an extensive knee injury and over fellow rookie and round pick Greg Little who played very well in limited time. Little is expected to return from a concussion. . . eventually.
We’d like to thank Walker. Be sure to check out the rest of our Q&A session with Cat Scratch Reader over the course of the week as well as our Q&A session over there. As always, keep your internet machines tuned to Acme Packing Company this Sunday for our comprehensive game-day coverage of Panthers versus Packers.
