NFL Week 16 Sunday Schedule: NFC East hangs in the balance

Dallas and Philly battle for a chance to win the division.

A few of the biggest games in week 16 are complete, with three games wrapped up on Saturday. Arguably the biggest matchup remains yet to come on Monday night, when the Minnesota Vikings host the Green Bay Packers.

That leaves a Sunday schedule that is honestly lacking a bit in terms of elite matchups. Chiefs-Bears looked like it would be a great Sunday night game before the season, but with the Bears eliminated from the playoff race, it carries much less weight than the league and NBC surely hoped early in the year.

Instead, the biggest game on today’s schedule is likely the de facto NFC East title game. The Philadelphia Eagles and Dallas Cowboys enter Sunday tied at 7-7, with Dallas holding a head-to-head win earlier this season. A Cowboys win gives them the East title and the fourth seed in the NFC playoffs, while the Eagles would still need to beat the Giants next week to lock up the division even with a win today.

Which team will take hold of the East? Tune in this afternoon to find out.
