16 weeks ago, a first-round playoff bye and a shot at home-field advantage in the playoffs was a pipe dream for the Green Bay Packers and their fans. The team was coming off a 6-9-1 regular season that led to the organization firing the head coach, and week one matched the Packers up against the defending division champions on the road.
Over the past 16 weeks, the Packers have gone 12-3, giving themselves the opportunity to go home for Wild Card weekend if they win today. And standing in their way are the lowly Detroit Lions, who appear to be content to coast into the offseason with a 3-11-1 record at this point. Detroit has been ravaged by injuries this season, most notably to quarterback Matthew Stafford, who played just eight games all year.
With a bye hanging in the balance, the Packers are not going to take the Lions lightly, however. Tune in here and join us as we follow along with the game!
