In their quest to come back against the (checks notes) Detroit Lions and maintain a first round bye...
Wait, the Lions? Really? This is a dire situation against the Lions? What on earth? Anyway,
the Green Bay Packers’ comeback is going to be a bit tougher as starting right tackle Bryan Bulaga is currently being evaluated for a concussion. He’s been replaced by backup and extremely large man Jared Veldheer, who was lured out of retirement earlier this season for just such an occasion.
Bulaga has a reputation for being injury prone, but he’s been healthy almost all of 2019, and without question has been one of their best lineman. Starting center Corey Linsley left the game earlier, and with two backups now in the game, the offense has their work cut out for them.
That bye is also looking even more important as the extra week my be essential to getting the starting line back together. Given Aaron Rodgers’ struggles, they can’t afford to enter the playoffs at anything less than 100%.
Stay tuned for further updates.
