The Green Bay Packers announced the hiring of two coaching assistants to Matt LaFleur’s staff Friday, adding Kevin Koger as a quality-control assistant and Jason Vrable as an offensive assistant.

Koger makes the jump from the collegiate ranks. He coached wide receivers the past three seasons as Eastern Kentucky with some additional special-teams duty this past year. Koger also coached at the University of Tennessee as well as his alma mater, the University of Michigan.

As for Vrable, he arrives in Green Bay with considerable NFL coaching experience. The past two years, he served as an offensive assistant on Todd Bowles’ staff. Before that, Vrable coached for the Buffalo Bills, rising as high as running-backs coach during Anthony Lynn’s tenure as interim head coach.

With those hires complete, LaFleur might have put the finishing touches on his first staff with the Packers. LaFleur currently includes nine assistants on offense, eight on defense, and three on special teams.
