The Green Bay Packers have finally made an appearance on NFL Network’s Top 100 Players of 2019. David Bakhtiari, the team’s All-Pro offensive tackle, came in at No. 43 on the list.

Bakhtiari’s inclusion marks the second consecutive year he landed on NFL Network’s top-100 list. Last year, the offensive tackle came in at No. 91, his first mention on any edition of the top-100 list.

Bakhtiari has played at a high level for most of his six seasons with the Packers. However, he didn’t begin to earn recognition for his play until the past few seasons, earning second-team All-Pro honors in 2016 and ‘17 and a first-team nod this past year. Though not everyone noticed Bakhtiari’s rise — he somehow missed the Pro Bowl in 2018 — the NFL players that voted on NFL Network’s list did.

Bakhtiari enters the 2019 season as the Packers’ top offensive lineman, one will likely necessitate a new extension at some point in the not-too-distant future. As things stand, he has two seasons remaining on the contract he signed in 2016.
