With the final preseason game just over 24 hours away, Green Bay Packers head coach Matt LaFleur will take a step back and look at his entire roster during a game environment.

This means quarterbacks coach Luke Getsy will be calling plays against the Kansas City Chiefs tomorrow night which will allow LaFleur to focus solely on the remaining roster battles before rosters must be trimmed down to 53 on Saturday.

The coach will no doubt be looking at the backup quarterback battle between Tim Boyle and DeShone Kizer as well as the starting guard battle between Lane Taylor and Elgton Jenkins. He’ll also likely be examine inside linebacker candidates with Oren Burks likely to miss at least the first few games of the season.

With the starters likely not playing much if at all (see you in Chicago, Aaron Rodgers), this is the last chance for the guys on the roster bubble to firm up their spot or make one last ditch effort to not be one of the 37 guys to turn in their playbooks this weekend.

LaFleur will be watching it all tomorrow since he’ll be freed up from his normal responsibilities as play caller. Decision time looms for him and general manager Brian Gutekunst. Tomorrow night represents the last chance to gather significant data before they set their roster for Week 1.

Now on to today’s curds.
