Packers-Vikings Injury Report: David Bakhtiari expects to play, DBs at full strength

Green Bay is expected to have most of their key players on the field.

The Green Bay Packers welcome the Minnesota Vikings into Lambeau Field this Sunday for the first home game of the year. Last year in week two, abysmal kicking performances led to a tie in overtime. This year, however, the Packers are coming into the game pretty healthy and ready to play.

Oren Burks is out again with a lingering chest injury and is the only starter listed as out, as he is expected to miss a couple more weeks. Rookie wide out Darrius Shepherd is also out again after missing week one.

However, left tackle David Bakhtiari is listed as questionable with a back issue. He did not practice Thursday but was limited Friday, which could be a good sign headed into the weekend. Kevin King has been dealing with a hamstring & chest injury all week, but was at full participation on Friday, meaning the defensive backs should be out in full force this weekend.

The offensive line struggled last week against the bears, so if Bakhtiari is unable to play it could be a key factor to the game.

For the Vikings, guard Pat Elflein could be out against the Packers after sustaining a knee injury against the Falcons. With the Packers rush on the rise, a missing lineman could spell trouble for the Vikings. Meanwhile, one Vikings cornerback is listed as out and another is doubtful.
