College Football Week 2 2019 Schedule: LSU-Texas is the year’s first top-10 matchup

Although the opening week of the college football season had few premier matchups, week two brings fans of the sport their first matchup of top-ten teams this season. This week, the LSU Tigers travel to Austin to play the Texas Longhorns in an SEC-Big XII matchup that promises to give one team a quality win early in the season.

While these two teams meet in prime time to serve as the headlining game of the weekend, there is another important game with top-15 teams going on in the late afternoon time slot. Clemson, the defending national champions, host #12 Texas A&M in what should be another exciting game. This is the back end of a home-and-home, as the teams met in week two last season in College Station. In that game, however, the Aggies were unranked, but put up a furious rally, falling short on a two-point conversion attempt to tie the game. Clemson won the game 28-26 on their way to the title.
