The flu bug hit hard last week for the Green Bay Packers, with multiple players missing time due to flu like symptoms. This Wednesday, however, the team seems to be mostly over the illness bug.
Wednesday was the first practice of the week featuring an injury update leading up to the NFC Championship showdown with the San Francisco 49ers, who dominated the Packers the last time they faced off.
Three players sat out of practice today, but only one was due to an injury or illness. Geronimo Allison seems to have caught the bug that was going around last week, and was a non participant in Wednesdays practice. Jimmy Graham sat due to veteran rest, with Ryan Grant excused for a personal absence.
Speaking of veteran rest, there were three others on the team who were limited in practice today in order to get some well deserved rest. Bryan Bulaga was limited today, along with Tramon Williams. Bulaga suited up for the Seattle game and did not play due to being sick, but he is not listed with any illness/injury this week.
As far as injuries go, Kenny Clark, who has been dealing with back issues was a limited participant in practice. Allen Lazard, who hurt his ankle last Sunday, was also limited in practice, which should be a good sign of him playing this Sunday.
