On Sunday, the Green Bay Packers return to the NFC Championship Game for the first time since the 2016 season. There, they will face off against the San Francisco 49ers, the No. 1 seed in the conference. Kyle Posey of Niners Nation kindly volunteered to answer our questions about the 49ers and provide some insight into their strengths and weaknesses.

APC: Nearly two months have passed since the Packers and 49ers last played each other. What has changed for San Francisco in the time since that could affect how the rematch unfolds?

They’re healthier. Getting Dee Ford back last week was huge for the defense. The defensive line looked as dominant as they did the first two months of the season. Safety Jaquiski Tartt and linebacker Kwon Alexander returned as well. This defense at full strength has proven to be otherworldly. Offensively, they have an identity. The last time these two teams played was before San Francisco was battle-tested. They’ve shown now that they not only know who to go to in critical times, but they have also established how they’re going to beat defenses. Kyle Shanahan has a staple of weapons to choose from.

We’d like to thank Kyle. Be sure to check out the rest of our Q&A session with Niners Nation over the course of the week as well as our Q&A session over there. As always, keep your internet machines tuned to Acme Packing Company this Sunday for our comprehensive game-day coverage of Packers versus 49ers.
