We did it, Green Bay Packers fans. We have officially made it through another regular season of Packers football and have reached the Divisional Playoffs. After a 13-3 record, Green Bay earned a first round bye, which gave them extra time to rest up before facing a familiar opponent, the Seattle Seahawks.
The injury storyline this year was different from years past, which were usually riddled with injuries week after week after week. This year, the Packers have been one of the healthiest teams in the NFL, albeit not without their troubles (such as Davante Adams missing a month).
Heading into this week, the biggest question mark was right tackle Bryan Bulaga. However, he has cleared the concussion protocol and has been cleared to play Sunday against the Seahawks.
Meanwhile, fullback Danny Vitale returned to practice today along with wide out Allen Lazard and guard Elgton Jenkins, which are signs of good things to come. However, Kenny Clark did not participate today, riding the bikes with Tramon Williams, Jimmy Graham, Billy Turner.
One thing to watch is that an illness seems to be spreading through the Packers locker room. David Bakhtiari, Marcedes Lewis and Elgton Jenkins were not at practice earlier in the week due to illness so that the rest of the team did not get it. Davante Adams addressed the issue by telling teammates to “wash your hands and wash your butts” so hopefully everyone will be healthy for the game.
