Wide receiver Allen Lazard put up big numbers against the New Orleans Saints. Now he’s popping up on the Packers’ injury report.

Lazard did not participate in practice today, apparently dealing with a core muscle injury. His absence at practice was the first time there had been any mention of an injury. We don’t know the severity of the injury, but core muscle issues can be severe. Robert Tonyan required corrective surgery for a core muscle injury last year.

Lazard was one of four players who didn’t participate in practice today. Linebacker Christian Kirksey was also out. He’d left the Saints game with what was described as a shoulder injury, but he’s now been listed with a pectoral injury. Tight end Josiah Deguara is still dealing with his ankle injury and didn’t participate. Fellow tight end Marcedes Lewis was a new addition to the list with a knee injury, though he also could be taking something of a veteran rest day.

Wide receiver Davante Adams and defensive lineman Kenny Clark were both limited participants with hamstring and groin injuries, respectively. Za’Darius Smith and Rashan Gary were also limited participants with ankle injuries.
