This week Matub decides to start off by “poking the bear”. The Taysom Hill-centric video continues to be the most vocally disliked episode of Hottest Take of the Week ever created. Because it’s about a player no longer on the team, Matub finds himself surprised that his criticism of the current team was met with much less disdain.
He also decides to double down on his idea that one day Matt LaFleur’s scheme will get figured out. This time, instead of citing a former (terrible) Chicago Bears coach, Matub references a current “good” coach who took his team to the super bowl.
Moving on to current matters, Aaron Rodgers went on the Pat McAfee show this week. It was a phenomenal source of soundbites. In just a 20 minutes Aaron covers topics including: uncertainty at wide receiver, taking quotes out of context, and an amazing response to people saying he had “down years”.
Matub uses the “down year” rhetoric as a springboard to find other quarterbacks to compare Rodgers against. In the process of his research, he accidentally discovers Ryan Tannehill is actually kind of old now. It’s actually quite shocking.
Mixed in to the fun of tearing apart the internet’s weekly rhetoric, Matub gives some pretty solid advice on how to handle content you dislike on social media.
All of this and more is covered in detail on this episode of Hottest Take of the Week!
