APC Week 5 NFL Picks: Vikings to drop to 1-4, Bills will win battle of unbeatens

APC likes Seattle to win on Sunday night and Buffalo to beat Tennessee on Tuesday (if that game takes place).

While Acme Packing Company has been on the money predicting the Green Bay Packers’ performance this season — Matt LaFleur’s team is 4-0 and has covered the point spread in every game — the team sits idle this week on its early bye. Thus, this week’s picks are in, but we’re looking around the league more broadly this week.

Week five has a Sunday Night Football matchup that would be a premier game in many recent seasons. However, the Minnesota Vikings’ uninspiring 1-3 start has their game with the Seattle Seahawks, now 4-0, losing some of its luster. Indeed, it’s a clean sweep at APC with all of our contributors picking Seattle as the victor and the Vikings to drop to 1-4.

One of the more intriguing games on this week’s schedule actually comes on Tuesday, when the 4-0 Buffalo Bills are supposed to play the 3-0 Tennessee Titans. The two teams are an interesting matchup, with Josh Allen and his big arm going up against the run-heavy Titans attack featuring Derrick Henry. Tennessee, however, has been dealing with massive numbers of positive COVID tests, landing a few key players on the reserve/COVID-19 list and continuing to put the game’s scheduling in question. APC is heavily picking the Bills in this one — if the game goes on as planned.

So sit back, laugh at our picks for Thursday night’s game, and enjoy the games with us this weekend.
