A loss by the Bears tonight would give the Packers back the first-place spot in the division.

This evening, Green Bay Packers fans will trade in their traditional colors for blue and yellow. Packers fans will be pulling for the Los Angeles Rams tonight thanks to the identity of their Monday Night Football opponents, the Chicago Bears.

Chicago has jumped out to a surprising 5-1 start this season, a number that the Packers matched with their win in Houston on Sunday. Each of the Bears’ wins has been by seven points or fewer, however, with four of the five coming by no more than four points. They are winning despite fielding one of the worst offenses in the NFL as well, as the team ranks 27th in points scored and 29th in points allowed while also being in the league’s bottom-five in every rushing category.

The Bears’ strength this season has been their defense, which ranks first in red zone efficiency, second on third downs, fifth in overall points allowed and eighth in yards allowed. Those latter numbers trail the Rams, however, who rank third and sixth in points and yards, and who are fielding the NFL’s best pass defense in terms of net yards per attempt.

Which team will emerge as the victor this evening? Tune in to find out.
