Packers-Vikings Injury Report: Minnesota down CBs, Bakhtiari questionable for GB

Green Bay has seven players in total listed as questionable, but it’s an encouraging sign that their All-Pro left tackle has that tag this week.

When the Green Bay Packers and Minnesota Vikings meet at Lambeau Field on Sunday, there will be players missing from both teams’ rosters. Earlier in the afternoon on Friday, the Packers announced that running back Aaron Jones and cornerback Kevin King will miss the game with injuries, depriving Green Bay of a key starter on each side of the football. However, Minnesota is in rough shape as well, particularly on defense.

The Vikings are down two of their top four cornerbacks at a minimum — they placed Mike Hughes on injured reserve on Friday and ruled Holton Hill out on Friday. A third corner, Cameron Dantzler, is currently on the reserve/COVID-19 list and may miss the game, though Minnesota coach Mike Zimmer said he may be able to be cleared in time for the game. The Vikings also placed linebacker Todd Davis on the COVID list on Friday, and he looks to be unavailable after reportedly testing positive for the coronavirus.

Minnesota also designated running back Dalvin Cook as questionable on Friday, oddly doing so mere minutes after Zimmer said in his press conference that Cook would be “ready to go” for Sunday.

As for the Packers, the rest of the roster is banged up, with a whopping 19 players out of the active 53 showing up on this week’s injury report. However, Jones and King are the only players whom the team has designated as out, so the remainder of the roster should be in a good spot. David Bakhtiari, who was out last Sunday in Houston, is questionable for the game, joined by six other Packers players.

One of those is kicker Mason Crosby, who practiced for the first time on Friday. Among the other questionable players are running back Tyler Ervin, who missed the Packers’ last two games, and safety Darnell Savage, who was out last week in Houston.
