The Green Bay Packers get an extra day to get ready for their week four game against the Atlanta Falcons, with that contest coming on Monday Night Football. As a result, it’s a full day of casual football-watching for Packers fans, who get to relax and take in the rest of the league’s games throughout the day today.
The headlining game this week was scheduled to come in the late afternoon, with the Kansas City Chiefs hosting the New England Patriots in a rematch of the 2018 AFC Championship Game. However, that contest has been delayed to later this week after both teams turned up with positive COVID tests, including to Patriots quarterback Cam Newton. That is the second game that has been postponed this week, following the game between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Tennessee Titans. That game was moved back to week seven, however, with both teams now getting a bye this week.
Packers fans may be closely watching the games of their divisional opponents this Sunday, particularly the Chicago Bears, who share the same 3-0 record as Green Bay. Chicago will face a tough test at home this week as they welcome in the Indianapolis Colts, with that game moving back from the early slate to the late afternoon to fill the spot vacated by the delay of New England-Kansas City. Meanwhile, the Vikings try to get in the win column on a road trip to Houston against the Texans while the likewise winless Detroit Lions host the 1-2 New Orleans Saints.
Join us here for a full day of football and discuss in the comments.
