APC Podcast: Matt LaFleur is early Coach of the Year candidate

The guys give out quarter-season awards and tap Matt LaFleur as the early front runner for Coach of the Year.

The Green Bay Packers are now 4-0 and everything feels — for the moment — easy breezy. And while it’s easy to get swept up in the Aaron Rodgers renaissance, we make the case on today’s episode that the real story is Matt LaFleur, who seems to be scheming and play-calling his way into the Coach of the Year conversation. He’s now 17-3 in the regular season, 8-0 against division opponents, and after Monday’s victory over the Falcons he’s also 6-0 scheming up wins without Davante Adams in the lineup. He’s becoming a top-tier play caller and finds ways every week to try to use every available resource and weapon on offense. For these reasons and more, Alex makes the bold prediction that Matt LaFleur will win Coach of the Year.

Also ahead on today’s episode, we give out some quarter-season awards and take a look around at the emerging picture in the NFC North.
