Packers vs. Bears Inactives: Green Bay starters all in, Akiem Hicks out for Chicago

Chicago will not have its best defensive lineman, but the Packers have all of their starters tonight.

The Green Bay Packers and Chicago Bears are nearly ready to take the field for Sunday Night Football, but one bit of roster construction requires attention prior to kickoff. The two teams announced their inactive players for tonight’s game, and the Packers got some good news on a few game-time decisions.

Four of the six Packers who were listed as questionable on this week’s injury report will play. Importantly, that includes all of the injured starters: cornerback Kevin King, center Corey Linsley, and wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling. None of them were listed on the inactive report, and therefore all will suit up tonight.

The one key player whom the Packers will not have is running back/return man Tyler Ervin. Ervin missed last week’s game after sitting out two additional games earlier this season. That will likely mean that Darrius Shepherd will continue to get the bulk of the work on returns.

The Bears, meanwhile, will not have one of their most critical players on defense. Defensive lineman Akiem Hicks will not play tonight, shut down with a hamstring injury. Chicago does have its full complement of offensive linemen, however, including left tackle Charles Leno, Jr.

Here are the full lists for both teams.
