Packers vs. 49ers, Week 9 2020: First half game updates & discussion

Aaron Jones will play tonight, but most of the 49ers’ offense will not. Will the Packers be able to earn a victory in their recent house of horrors?

Tonight, the Green Bay Packers will try to win in a place that was a terrifying place for them one year ago. At Levi’s Stadium in the 2019 season, the Packers suffered their worst defeat in the regular season and were later on knocked out of the playoffs, as the San Francisco 49ers dominated both games from the jump.

Tonight, the team hopes for a different result.

With the 49ers’ roster ravaged by injuries and missing a few key players due to a positive COVID test on the roster, the Packers have a chance to capture a big NFC win and exorcise some of those demons. The Packers come in to tonight’s game as a 7.5-point favorite, with the line swelling massively as the 49ers’ absences were announced.
