This afternoon, our Green Bay Packers are on the other side of Lake Michigan to take on the Detroit Lions, who are suddenly just one game out of a playoff spot thanks to an incredible comeback victory over the Chicago Bears last week. Green Bay has a chance to clinch the NFC North title for the second straight year depending on the outcome of today's game and a few others.
This game was a surprising choice for a scheduling change, however, as it was moved back from the early time slot to the late afternoon. However, the contest is still up against three other games on the same network at the same time, so it will be difficult to pull in this game on local TV if you are outside of the Midwest or the upper Great Plains states.
Last year, of course, these two teams met in Detroit in week 17, with the Packers needing a victory to clinch a first-round bye. They got it, but only on a last-second field goal by Mason Crosby after spotting the Lions an early 17-3 lead and mounting a furious comeback in the second half.
As always, check out our Game Primer below, which provides all of the details for tuning in for Sunday’s NFC North battle. Scroll down for this week’s broadcast map from 506sports.com and much more to get ready for Sunday.
