Raiders host Chargers on Thursday Night Football with playoff hopes in the balance

Sitting a game back of the playoff cutoff in the AFC, Las Vegas cannot afford another loss.

Tonight, Thursday Night Football returns with an AFC West matchup between one team well outside the playoff hunt and one that is just a game back of the final Wild Card spot in that conference.

Tonight, the Las Vegas Raiders play host to the Los Angeles Chargers as the two teams with new stadiums play their second game this season, this time in Sin City. These squads met for their fist game this season back in week nine, when the Raiders fought off a second-half rally from the Chargers and earned a 31-26 victory.

Now, the Raiders need another win to keep themselves afloat in the chase for a playoff spot. They sit behind the 8-5 Miami Dolphins and Baltimore Ravens, with Miami holding the 7th seed over Baltimore on tiebreakers.
