As the Green Bay Packers took to practice for the first time in week 13, the team saw no surprises on its injury report on Wednesday. Only one player was unable to participate this afternoon, as center Corey Linsley is expected to be out a few weeks with a sprained MCL. However, the other 51 players on the active roster were all up and working in some capacity.

That is good news for the Packers’ offensive line, as right guard Lucas Patrick had to leave last Sunday’s game with a toe injury. With Linsley expected to be out, the Packers will need Patrick available to keep a preferred five-man group on the field, and he was able to practice on a limited basis today. In each of the last two games, Linsley has left with an injury and the Packers have responded by moving left guard Elgton Jenkins to center and inserting Jon Runyan, Jr. in his place, with Patrick staying at his right guard spot. However, if Patrick were unable to play, that would force the Packers to start right tackle Billy Turner at guard, with Rick Wagner playing right tackle.

Joining Patrick on the injury report as a limited participant is the other Packer who picked up a notable injury last week, safety Darnell Savage. The second-year pro fell a bit awkwardly on his back while making his second interception of the game on Sunday and did not return.

Two players who were inactive due to injuries against the Bears in week 12 returned to practice on a limited basis: running back/return man Tyler Ervin and reserve cornerback Josh Jackson. Ervin’s role if he returns this week is to be determined following the Packers’ signing of free agent Tavon Austin, who can fulfill many of the same duties that Ervin normally does on offense and special teams.

Meanwhile, the Philadelphia Eagles saw one of their most important players miss practice. Defensive tackle Fletcher Cox was unable to participate on Wednesday with a neck injury, and his status will be worth monitoring throughout the week.

Here is the Packers’ full injury report for Wednesday.
