It’s almost time for Sunday Night Football, which this week features the Green Bay Packers hosting the Tennessee Titans in a battle between teams with double-digit victories this season. Although the Packers can clinch the NFC’s top seed with a victory next week in Chicago, this game will serve as a tremendous measuring stick heading towards the postseason.

The weather conditions will be chilly, snowy, and generally not very friendly to passing games. That would seem to suggest that the Titans will have an advantage thanks to running back Derrick Henry, the NFL’s leader (by a figurative mile) in rushing yardage. But the Packers have a talented Pro Bowl running back in their own right, with Aaron Jones leading the charge and sitting just 32 yards away from 1,000 on the season.

Of course, Aaron Rodgers is the Packers’ most important player, and how the passing game runs will be crucial to watch. Green Bay’s passing attack makes them the second-most efficient offense in the NFL by Football Outsiders’ DVOA metric — narrowly ahead of the Titans — but Tennessee’s passing defense is one of the worst in the NFL. If Green Bay can get the aerial attack going, that should go a long way towards earning a victory.
