Za’Darius Smith listed as questionable for Packers vs. Eagles

Za’Darius Smith is questionable with an ankle injury for the Green Bay Packers’ game Sunday against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Smith popped up on the report earlier this week and was a limited participant in practice Thursday. He did not participate in practice on Friday. If he can’t go Sunday, it will be the first time he’ll miss a game as a member of the Packers and the first time since 2017 he’ll be out of the lineup.

He was one of three players listed as questionable on the final injury report of the week. Tyler Ervin is questionable with a rib injury. He hasn’t played since Week 10. Linebacker Krys Barnes rounds out the group of players designated as questionable; he’s battling a calf injury. Sunday would be the first game back for Barnes after a stint on the COVID-19/reserve list.

Lucas Patrick had been on the injury report for most of this week with a toe injury, but is apparently now good to go. He’s been removed from the injury report entirely.

Corey Linsley, meanwhile, has been officially ruled out, though that was a foregone conclusion given the relative severity of his knee injury. With Patrick cleared to play, the Packers have a full selection of options for replacing Linsley in the lineup. Patrick could end up at center on Sunday, though the Packers have now gone with Elgton Jenkins twice in relief of Linsley and will likely go that direction on Sunday.
