Packers-Eagles Inactives: Tavon Austin sits as Tyler Ervin returns; Za’Darius Smith active

With 90 minutes to go before the Green Bay Packers and Philadelphia Eagles kick off, the two teams have announced their lists of inactive players for the week 13 matchup. Both teams look to have full lineups in today’s game, as all of the notable players who were on both teams’ injury reports on Friday will suit up today.

For the Packers, that includes top pass-rusher Za’Darius Smith, who was listed as questionable with an ankle injury. Smith is in the lineup and should play his normal prominent role along with Preston Smith and Rashan Gary. The Packers did inactivate their fifth-string outside linebacker, Jonathan Garvin, as a healthy scratch, a sign that Smith should be ready to go.

Joining Smith on the active gameday roster are the other two players the Packers designated as questionable this week: rookie linebacker Krys Barnes and running back/return man Tyler Ervin. Ervin’s return comes at a fortunate time, as the Packers released his backup, Darrius Shepherd, earlier this week. It also means that the team will wait at least another week before making recent acquisition Tavon Austin active; he is one of the team’s five inactive players for today’s game.

Barnes returns to the lineup for the first time since week nine’s win over the 49ers, as he has spent the last few games on the reserve/COVID-19 list before being reactivated on Wednesday.

The Eagles, meanwhile, will have a full complement of key players, including Fletcher Cox and Zach Ertz. Neither of those players are on the inactive list, which features just one player who is not a healthy scratch, reserve safety Rudy Ford.
