Monday NFL Football Doubleheader: Washington-Steelers & Bills-49ers

NFL fans get a pair of cross-conference matchups on Monday due to last week’s rescheduled games.

San Francisco 49ers v Buffalo Bills

Five days ago, the Pittsburgh Steelers defeated the Baltimore Ravens in an ugly Wednesday afternoon contest. With that game now behind them, Pittsburgh’s regularly-scheduled game moved to this afternoon to give the team at least four days off in between, and today they will host the Washington Football Team in the early game of a Monday NFL doubleheader.

Washington fell a half-game back of the New York Giants in the NFC East yesterday as the G-Men upset the Seattle Seahawks on the road. To keep pace with their divisional rivals, Washington must pull an even more shocking upset against the NFL’s only remaining unbeaten team. That game will be on local TV in some major media markets across the eastern half of the USA, with the rest of the country requiring an NFL Sunday Ticket package to pull in the game.

In the normal Monday Night Football contest, the AFC East-leading Buffalo Bills travel across the country to play their second game in four weeks at State Farm Stadium outside Phoenix. However, this game comes against the San Francisco 49ers, who have moved their home games to Arizona due to local regulations in Santa Clara banning athletic activities in that area. A 49ers win puts them in a tie for the 7th spot in the NFC on record, while a Bills victory keeps them a full game up on Miami in the AFC East.

Tune in and join us here for both of today’s games!
