Packers second-round pick A.J. Dillon has signed his rookie contract. Dillon broke the news himself via Twitter Wednesday afternoon.

Dillon rushed for 4,382 yards and 38 touchdowns in his three seasons at Boston College before the Packers selected him with the 62nd pick in this spring’s draft.

As the 62nd pick, Dillon’s contract has a projected value of just over $5.2 million with a signing bonus of about $1.4 million, all spread over the standard four years.

A big back at 6-0 and 247 pounds, Dillon displayed excellent athleticism at the NFL Combine this spring. Packaging a 4.53 40-yard dash with good explosion and agility numbers, Dillon was flagged as “elite” by the generally reliable Relative Athletic Score, a metric that’s come into increasing prominence in the Brian Gutekunst era as the Packers have worked to target elite athletes.

Dillion also spent the spring working out with his future Packers teammates, Jordan Love and Kamal Martin, first- and fifth-round picks in this year’s draft, respectively.
