Will Jamaal Williams Play More Snaps as a Wide Receiver?

Former BYU running back Jamaal Williams is headed down a complicated role this season after the Packers drafted running back A.J. Dillon in the second round. Many believe that Williams may be cut during training camp looking at he will be a free agent next season, and the Packers would get more cap space to extend players in training camp like Kenny Clark, and David Bakhitiari. The Packers certainly have quite a lot of depth at the running back position with Aaron Jones, Tyler Ervin, and A.J. Dillon but will Jamaal Williams still be able to remain on the Packers but maybe play more snaps at receiver?

Anything can happen with players changing positions on the Packers like when their former receiver (Ty Montgomery) was originally a receiver in the beginning of his career but then he transitioned to play running back after players like Eddie Lacy got injured. Jamaal Williams can be vise versa Ty Montgomery with changing positions after he showed promise as a receiver with great catches like the game against the Chiefs last season.

The Packers don't even have a true wide receiver number two besides Allen Lazard to pair up with Davante Adams and Jamaal Williams may be that next wide receiver two or three. Jamaal Williams last year was actually tied for the most receiving touchdowns on the Packers receiving touchdown leaders with 5 touchdowns.

During the off-season Jamaal Williams looked really impressive after he was running routes as a receiver in an off-season workout.
