After putting pads on for the first time this summer on Tuesday, the Green Bay Packers will be back on the practice field again in pads Wednesday. This marks the team’s third straight day of practice, and as a result head coach Matt LaFleur said that today’s session will be a lighter one.
Expect the first half of practice to be relatively normal, with a few “live periods” of drills, but LaFleur said that the second half will be effectively a walkthrough and compared the day to a typical in-season Friday session.
With that in mind, it is possible that the Packers may let a few key players sit after dropping out of Tuesday’s practice. Left tackle David Bakhtiari and outside linebacker Za’Darius Smith both left midway through on Tuesday, and the team has provided no updates so far on their statuses. With a light day today and another practice scheduled for Thursday, this might be a chance to give those players a day off to deal with whatever nagging issues are affecting them.
Once again, practice begins at 10:30 Central, so keep your browsers locked here for updates throughout.
