On Thursday, the Green Bay Packers chose to cancel their scheduled practice in light of the shooting in Kenosha and the civil unrest that has been taking place there over the past few days. Following of the Milwaukee Bucks’ walkout from a playoff game on Wednesday and the Milwaukee Brewers also electing not to play that evening, the Packers determined that they would spend the day in conversations about how to support the community and continue to educate themselves about social and racial injustice.
While the team evidently brainstormed some actionable steps and will likely be implementing them over the coming days and weeks, the team gets back to work today, taking the field for practice at 10:10 AM Central. Following practice, head coach Matt LaFleur will speak as usual, followed by some player availability via zoom videoconferences.
