With the Green Bay Packers now at 1-0 on the young 2020 season, week one will come to a close this evening with Monday Night Football. As has been tradition over the past several years, ESPN is airing a doubleheader with an early game in the Eastern time zone and one farther out west in a later time slot.
Today’s games may only feature one playoff team from a year ago, but there are some interesting storylines nonetheless. That team is the Tennessee Titans, who surprisingly made the AFC Championship a year ago after upsetting the New England Patriots and Baltimore Ravens before falling to the eventual Super Bowl champions. They will head out to the Mile High City in the late game to play the Broncos, who are notoriously tough at home early in the season.
The early game pits two storied franchises that missed the postseason a year ago. The Pittsburgh Steelers’ defense is back among the elite units in the NFL and will get to face a second-year quarterback, Daniel Jones, who is working with a first-year head coach in Joe Judge. Will the Giants be able to join Washington at 1-0 in the NFC East? Tune in tonight to find out.
