Last season, the Green Bay Packers led for exactly zero seconds in their two games against the Detroit Lions. Still, the green and gold were victorious in both contests thanks to game-winning field goals by Mason Crosby as regulation time expired. Those two wins helped the Packers to a 13-3 record, with the second one coming in week 17 as the team clinched a first-round bye in the postseason.
The team will surely be hoping for a more convincing victory in week two of the 2020 season when they face the Lions for the first of their two scheduled meetings. Green Bay comes riding high on offense after putting 43 points up on the Minnesota Vikings in week one, but the defense gave up a massive performance in the fourth quarter as the Vikings made it a nine-point final margin.
The Lions, meanwhile, blew a 17-point lead in the fourth as their offense bogged down and their defense let the Bears score touchdowns on three straight possessions. Still, Detroit had a chance to win the game with seconds left but rookie running back D’Andre Swift dropped a sure touchdown pass.
Will the Packers’ offense continue its hot start as the team returns to Lambeau Field for the first home game of the year? Tune in on Sunday to find out.
