Packers-Lions Inactives: Turner& Patrick active, Deguara sits

The Packers have a solid batch of linemen for today's game but will not have their rookie tight end.

NFL: SEP 13 Packers at Vikings

The Green Bay Packers will have a mostly full complement of offensive linemen today against the Detroit Lions. Both Lucas Patrick and Billy Turner are active for Green Bay after the two missed most or all of last week's game with injuries.

Also returning for Green Bay today is safety/linebacker Raven Greene. However, the team will be without rookie tight end Josiah Deguara, who is inactive for today's game.

The Packers had 54 players available to choose from this week for the 48-man active roster. This was thanks to two practice squad elevations adding to a 52-man roster, which sat at that number because Equanimeous St. Brown went on injured reserve without a matching addition to the 53.

Of course, in practice the Packers had fewer than 54 options, since three players - Kenny Clark, Randy Ramsey, and Lane Taylor - were ruled out on Friday's injury report.

As was the case last week, the Packers kept both elevated practice squad players active on game day. Tight end John Lovett is active for the second straight game after being elevated, while defensive tackle Willington Previlon will play to give the Packers some added depth with Kenny Clark out. Look for Lovett to potentially receive some snaps in Deguara’s place as the versatile "F" tight end in Matt LaFleur's offense.
