Green Bay Packers center Corey Linsley is headed to the locker room with an unspecified injury, leaving the Packers to reshuffle their offensive line in the second half for the second consecutive week.
Lucas Patrick moved from right guard to center in place of Linsley on the Packers’ next drive. Patrick had long stints at center in relief of Linsley twice last season. Rookie guard John Runyan, Jr. stepped in at right guard, even though Billy Turner is in uniform today. Presumably, the Packers won’t turn to Turner unless it’s absolutely necessary given how they’ve deployed him so far.
There’s no information available on Linsley so far, but it’s rare for him to miss time with an injury.
Meanwhile, running back Tyler Ervin is also headed to the locker room. There’s no word on what his injury may be, either. Josh Jackson returned a punt for the Packers with Ervin out.
The Packers lead 42-21 late in the game after another offensive explosion.
